National Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that is focused within a single nation, is a National Project.  National Projects can be for a single Home Owners Association, or Home Owners Association-Wide Projects.

Local Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that is focused within a single locality, such as a city, town or county, is a Local Project.

Open Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that has Open Membership, is an Open Project.  Open Projects usually have membership rules which must be agreed to, before joining, but, there is an Open Invitation for anyone to join.

Closed Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that has a Closed Membership, is an Closed Project.  Closed Projects require an invitation, in order to join, as determined by the project by-laws.  Closed Projects are usually also Private Projects, designed for a specific Trade Association or Home Owners Association Group.

Public Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that is publicly announced or that has information that is shared with the public, is called a Public Project.   Examples of Public Projects are Public-Service Projects that are also Home Owners Association-Wide Projects participation.

Private Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that is not-publicly announced or that has information that is remain confidential, is called a Private Project.   Sometimes, Private Projects require a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to be signed, before participation.  Also, some projects start out as private projects until the project is ready for Public consumption.

For-Profit Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that is generates a profit is called a For-Profit Project.

NHOA uniquely and effectively blends both the features of a for-profit and a not-for-profit organization.   “Non-profit is a tax status, not a mind-set”.

Our for-profit projects produce revenue to support both NHOA, our member Trade Associations and constituencies, while serving those whom the projects are designed to help.

Non-Profit Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that is does not generate a profit is called a Non-Profit Project.

Our Non-profit projects are usually Public-Service Projects that help a broader constituency.

Home Owners Association-Wide Projects

Definition: An NHOA project that includes more than one Trade Association or Home Owners Association Group, in the same Home Owners Association, or includes more than one Home Owners Association, is called an Home Owners Association-Wide Project.
